As the academic year draws to a close, the Yr6s enjoy one last exciting adventure as Primary school pupils before embarking on their journey to Secondary school – a day out at Crealy!
A full day of sport...and the weather was kind to us!
We started off by running the Golden Mile round the field to help us limber up, then the rest of the morning was spent working in our year groups taking part in a variety of multi-skill activities, which had been organised and were run by the Yr6 Sports Leaders.
There was:
* Throwing bean bags into hoops of varying values;
* Javelin throwing;
* Cricket skills;
* Standing Long Jump
The whole school enjoyed a dry, sunny day-trip to the seaside. Laden with buckets, spades and towels, the children & adults enjoyed paddling in the sea, playing games on the beach, building sandcastles, digging tunnels and burying each other in the sand. We all had a fantastic day and were able to enjoy a cooling ice-cream before embarking on the journey back to school!
The yearly celebration where the whole school comes together to perform traditional maypole & country dances to parents, friends and community members.
Maypole Dances were performed by Robins' and Woodpeckers' classes.
Country dances were performed by all pupils, who always enjoy learning them and performing for their parents.
