World Book Day 2024
"Word Collectors"
We were invited to come to school dressed up as a 'word' that was new or interesting to us and we became “Word Collectors”, thus learning lots of new words.
Safer Internet Assembly
The digital leaders led an assembly to celebrate Safer Internet Day 2024: Inspiring change? Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online.
They talked about how some changes online can make us feel negative/bad emotions and we discussed what we should do if something upsets or scares us.
We watched a short film about Mo and Jaz, whose video changed to something scary, so they stopped watching it and told their Dad.
We then thought about all the trusted adults we could talk to if we needed to, at school and at home.
