We are...Web Search Analysts
We looked at different ways to search for information online and locate specific search results.
We used 'www.google.co.uk' to search for specific answers to search queries using key words rather than full sentences.
We were able to search for:
- weather around the world;
- time around the world;
- the latest scores of our favourite team;
- a restaurant, local to where we live;
- a postcode;
- the answer to a sum/calculation;
- conversions of weight/length/capacity, etc.;
- correct spellings of words;
- definitions of words;
- facts & figures.
We now know how to effectively structure our search queries, locate information on the search results page and use search engines successfully to find out information.
