We explored the use of spreadsheets - looking at formatting cells, creating formulas to perform calculations, selecting random numbers & the practical uses of spreadsheets in the real world.
First, we looked at how to format cells to show numbers in different ways, i.e. as currency, percentages, decimals & fractions. We experimented with a spelling score spreadsheet to show the scores as percentages and calculated the average score.
Then, we looked at a Maths Game Spreadsheet and experimented with the random number generator, the timer button and the spin tool (which can change the times tables and update the whole of column C at the same time!)
Finally, we looked at how we can use spreadsheets to budget for a party.
