Summer Term Viking Raiders
Our Topic this term is:
We are looking forward to researching our Viking topic and learning all about who they were, where they came from, what they did, where they lived, what they ate, etc.
Humanities
Our first research task was to find out as many facts about the Vikings as we could, thus building up our Viking Fact File.
We discovered where the Vikings came from and the journeys they took from their homeland.
We also learned when the Vikings invaded Britain and the key events that led to their downfall.
We enjoyed researching & understanding more about the roles of Viking Gods & Goddesses.
We enjoyed learning about how & where Viking men and women lived, the types of clothes they wore and the food they ate.
We discovered more about the parts & uses of Viking Longships.
Finally, we produced some lovely pictures & paintings for Art.
Art
After researching the uses of Viking Longboats, we produced some lovely pictures & paintings for our display, using water colours & chalk pastels.
Design & Technology
We followed instructions to construct a Viking Longboat. Here are some of our creations:
