Summer Term 2022

Buzzards and Year 1 Owls had 'Skills for Sports' on Monday.

SASP this year were using inspiration from the Commonwealth Games through United by Birmingham 2022 to engage children with playground games, to do at school and at home with the family.

French skipping, Hop-scotch games and Bowling bonanza were the games to play.

ECO week

On Monday, the children were split into their tractor groups.

John Deere had a session on wildflowers and why they're so important for wildlife.

All the children did an observational drawing and coloured it afterwards.

Fordson Major

The children from Fordson Major tractor group converged into Owls on Monday to learn about 'Plastic and the Ocean'.

They had a story read to them, talked about plastics and created some art of sea life from the ocean.

KSM at the Beach - Wednesday 29th June 2022

We enjoyed a whole school trip to Minehead.

The children had a wonderful time playing games on the beach, building sandcastles, and making moats and rivers.

There was some excellent sand engineering taking place.

Only one, heavy, rain storm interrupted (or for some added) to the fun.

We ended the day on a high with ice-creams for everyone.

Lots of ice-cream happy faces and even some blue tongues.

May Day Dancing/Queen's Jubilee Celebration - Thursday 26th May

The children had spent time over the past two weeks learning and then showing their dances to their parents, grandparents and extended family.

The weather was on our side and the children performed brilliantly, smiling throughout and making sure they didn't mix up their steps by counting.

We had the national anthem played to us on guitars by two of our children. That was very well done and a great way to end the dancing before the picnic.
