Spring Term Climate Zone Exploration
Our Topic this term is:
Climate Zone Exploration
Humanities
We have been investigating the different climate zones around the world and indicating this on maps.
We discovered the ranges of temperatures of each zone, the types of creatures that live there and where each zone is in the world.
Some of us decided to investigate further by researching different creatures in each of the climate zones.
English
After researching each climate zone in detail, we worked together in groups to produce imaginative ideas, interesting phrases and exciting sentences, in readiness to write our own climate zone poem.
Finally, we incorporated all our knowledge of climate zones to write a non-chronological report on a climate zone of our choice, complete with contents page, glossary and illustrations.

We experimented with different media to capture black & white and colour images of animals from different climate zones.
